Permanent Makeup Removal in Liverpool
Unhappy with the colour, shape or intensity of old permanent makeup? Remover-based PMU removal can help lighten unwanted pigment and make room for a fresh approach.
At my Liverpool studio, I offer non-laser permanent makeup removal using a professional remover solution. Your existing work is assessed first, so we can discuss whether lightening or removal is appropriate and what to expect as your skin heals.

Thinking about removing old permanent makeup?
Please send clear photographs of the area without makeup, along with details of your previous treatment, before booking. I will assess the existing pigment and advise on the next step.
Permanent Makeup Removal: Before & After
Before-and-after photographs help show how unwanted pigment can lighten over a course of treatment.
For a useful comparison, look at the healed area and the number of sessions completed. The appearance immediately after treatment is not the final result.
Your own progress will depend on the existing pigment, previous treatments and healing. Results vary, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
What Is Remover-Based Permanent Makeup Removal?
Permanent makeup removal is a treatment to reduce unwanted cosmetic tattoo pigment. At M.Art Beauty Studio, this is carried out with a professional remover solution, rather than a laser. The solution is worked into the treated area using a controlled technique to help lift pigment as the skin heals.
The aim may be to soften old colour, lighten pigment before a new treatment or work towards removal. We agree on the goal after assessing your skin and existing permanent makeup.
Do You Need PMU Removal or a Colour Correction?
If old eyebrow tattoo pigment has changed colour, healed too dark or sits outside the shape you want, adding more pigment may not give you the result you are looking for. Removal or lightening can be considered before planning new brows.
Some faded work may be suitable for correction instead. I assess the remaining colour, saturation, shape and condition of your skin before advising on the options. This also applies to existing microblading: the first step is an assessment of what is already there.
If you would like new brows afterwards, explore Ombré & Powder Brows in Liverpool. A new treatment is only considered once the area is fully healed and suitable.
How Your Permanent Makeup Removal Works
Consultation
We discuss what you would like to change, your relevant health history and previous PMU or removal treatments. I assess the area and explain what may be achievable.
Your treatment plan
We agree whether the aim is lightening or removal. I explain the procedure, possible risks, aftercare and the need to allow the skin to heal between sessions.
Remover treatment
The area is prepared and treated with a professional remover solution using a controlled technique and appropriate hygiene procedures. No laser is used for this service.
Healing and review
You receive aftercare guidance, then we review the healed skin and remaining pigment. Any further treatment is planned around your recovery and progress.
Permanent Makeup Removal: Your Questions Answered
Is this laser permanent makeup removal?
No. At M.Art Beauty Studio, I use a professional remover solution for non-laser PMU removal. The treatment is planned around your existing pigment, skin and the area you would like assessed.
Can old microblading or eyebrow tattoos be removed?
Remover-based treatment may be an option for unwanted microblading, powder brows or other eyebrow tattoo pigment. I assess the colour, density, shape and skin before advising whether removal or lightening is suitable.
Can you remove permanent makeup from lips or eyeliner?
Please contact me with clear photographs and details of your previous treatment. Suitability depends on the area and condition of the skin. I will confirm what can be treated before you book; not every area is suitable for every remover method.
How many PMU removal sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number. The amount and depth of existing pigment, previous treatments and healing all affect the plan. More than one session may be needed, and complete pigment removal cannot be guaranteed. Each removal session costs £60 and is charged separately.
Does permanent makeup removal hurt?
Sensitivity varies from person to person, and some discomfort may be felt during treatment. I explain what to expect and discuss appropriate comfort measures during your consultation.
What should I expect while the area heals?
Some redness, sensitivity and surface crusting may occur. I provide aftercare suited to your treatment. Avoid picking at the area and follow the guidance you are given. The healed skin is assessed before any further session.
Can remover treatment leave a scar?
Scarring is a possible risk of removal treatment, so a scar-free result cannot be promised. Your skin, previous treatments and healing history are assessed, and I explain the risks and aftercare before you decide to go ahead.
When can I have new permanent makeup after removal?
New permanent makeup can be considered once the area is fully healed and the remaining pigment and skin have been assessed. The timing is decided individually, rather than following a fixed date for everyone.
