Lash Lift & Tint: Your Questions Answered
How long does a lash lift last?
The effect gradually grows out as your lashes naturally shed and renew. Results usually remain noticeable for several weeks, but the timing varies with your lash cycle, starting condition and aftercare. Your tint may fade before the curl has grown out.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes, a patch test is required before your first lash lift at M.Art Beauty Studio. Please arrange it in advance and confirm the timing when booking. Tell me about any previous reactions, even if you have had lash lifts or tinting elsewhere.
Will a lash lift make my lashes longer?
It does not add length or new lashes. Lifting the hairs can make more of their existing length visible, while tinting can help pale tips stand out. The final effect depends on your natural lashes.
Is a lash lift suitable for short or straight lashes?
Straight or downward-pointing lashes may become more visible with a lift. Short lashes need to be assessed to see whether they can be positioned for treatment and what result is realistic. Please get in touch if you are unsure.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Once the initial aftercare period has passed, mascara can add more definition if you wish. Follow the product-specific advice given at your appointment about when to resume eye makeup and which products to use.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Complete your patch test as arranged and arrive with clean lashes, free from mascara and eye makeup. Let me know about contact lenses, extensions or recent lash treatments beforehand so I can explain any preparation needed.
How do I care for my lashes afterwards?
Follow the aftercare instructions provided for the products used during your treatment. These will cover cleansing, water and steam exposure, eye makeup and daily care. Avoid rubbing or pulling at your lashes.
When can I book another lash lift?
The next appointment should be based on your lash condition and regrowth. Let me know when your last lift was, including treatments elsewhere, so we can agree on suitable timing rather than repeating it too soon.
Is lash lift the same as lash line permanent makeup?
No. A lash lift reshapes the natural hairs and a tint colours them. Lash line permanent makeup places pigment into the skin between the lashes. This lash lift appointment does not involve tattooing.
